Magris talc manufactures a range ultra-fine, highly pure, hydrated magnesium silicates specifically developed for the rubber industry. The platy morphology, organophilic nature, high aspect ratio and surface area result in superior reinforcement and rheology plus permeability resistance of thermoset rubbers.

Mistron® Vapor is our best-in-class product which reduces melt viscosity at high shear rates found in injection molding and extrusion processes resulting in increased melt flow and enhanced surface quality of extrudates. Mistron® Vapor also imparts fire retardancy due to its platy morphology by creating a barrier which reduces the amount of combustible gas from reaching the surface.

Magris talc offers a range of surface treated products that provide dramatic improvements in mechanical properties, such as modulus and compression set in several elastomers. Mistron® CB is Magris Talc’s flagship product engineered to reduce permeability of vulcanizates to liquids and gases while improving tear resistance, especially in the case where crack propagation is perpendicular to the oriented particles.
